Position Overview: This is a leadership role responsible for driving the development and execution of strategic sponsorship initiatives that generate revenue, elevate organizational visibility, and support mission advancement. This role cultivates and manages both national and local sponsorships, strengthens corporate and community relationships, and contributes to grant development efforts. The ideal candidate will align external partnerships with the organization’s long-term strategic goals, ensuring strong stewardship and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:Design and Drive Sponsorship Strategy
Lead the development and implementation of a strategic sponsorship plan that supports fundraising and programmatic goals at both the corporate and local levels.Secure Strategic Sponsorships
Identify, engage, and secure mission-aligned corporate sponsors through tailored proposals, relationship cultivation, and partnership negotiations.Build Local Partnerships
Develop and maintain strong relationships with local businesses and community organizations to support events, campaigns, and grassroots initiatives.Support Grant and Funding Initiatives
Contribute to partnership-driven grant identification and proposal development, helping to expand funding opportunities.Manage Sponsor Stewardship
Ensure sponsor satisfaction and long-term engagement through consistent communication, recognition, reporting, and timely fulfillment of partnership commitments.Collaborate with Internal Teams
Partner with colleagues across events, marketing, programs, and development to align sponsorship efforts and deliver on partner expectations.Monitor and Report on Impact
Track sponsorship activity, measure performance against goals, and report progress to leadership to inform ongoing strategy and improvements.
Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors and partners
Strong organizational and time management skills
Skilled in developing innovative sponsorship solutions
Adaptable to changing partner needs and shifting organizational priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of nonprofit revenue models, with a track record of securing both financial and in-kind support through sponsorships and grants
