The Dream Factory is an organization that depends almost entirely on its network of volunteers both at the chapter level and the national level.
Note: Volunteering for a position that works directly with children requires a clean background check.
At the local level, most chapters have a monthly board meeting to discuss new dreams, pending dreams, fundraising and other events. Each chapter is composed of a board, along with additional volunteers. Opportunities to volunteer include, but are not limited to, the following:

To fulfill the dreams of critically AND chronically ill children who are 3 through 18 years of age.
Description
The Dream Factory is the largest children’s wish-granting organization that does not limit its mission to children who have life-threatening illnesses. The organization believes children with chronic illnesses and disorders also suffer from substantial emotional and physical pain. We strive to provide hope and relief from the trauma and corresponding stress that both the children and their families can endure on a day-to-day basis. Doctors agree that providing a dream can improve the quality of life for these children and extend the life of a critically ill child.
