Mission Statement

The mission of the Corey Donaldson Foundation Incorporated is to develop the connections and resources that will encourage our local community members to think deeper, think bigger, and think success.

Description

Founded by Corey's older sister, Sharon Presley, The Corey Donaldson Foundation Inc. was established to honor her brother's life. After years of healing, Sharon knew that the Sanford community needed to be changed to stop the oppression that has always trapped and tortured African-Americans' lives in the area.

She understood that the circumstances that led to her brother's death resulted from generations of trauma that would continue to plague the minds of African-Americans if no one took the time to help them heal and take back control of their lives.

Often, a lack of resources leads individuals to feel mentally defeated, which influences them to commit violent acts and even further destroy their lives.

Through community connections, The Corey Donaldson Foundation Inc. wants to see that all African-Americans in Central Florida have the support and resources they need to overcome their daily challenges and elevate their lives.

At The Corey Donaldson Foundation Inc., we want to generate awareness about how a lack of useful resources can stop us all from living fuller lives.
