Rocky Mountain National Park is seeking volunteers to join the Interpretation and Education team on the west side of the park!
Housing is NOT available for this opportunity.
The volunteer will provide information and informal interpretation to visitors about natural and cultural history of the park at the Kawuneeche Visitor Center, at Holzwarth Historic Site, and/or other popular locations.
More about the position and duties:
- Assist visitors with orientation and trip planning at the Kawuneeche Visitor Center or breezeway.
- Work outside at Holzwarth Historic Site to provide informal interpretation about the site and the park.
- May assist staff with managing wildlife jams in parking lots and in roadways.
- May rove trails on foot (up to one mile) and provide orientation, informal interpretation, and safety messaging.
- May assist staff in presenting guided snowshoe hikes to the public.
- May be required to use Government vehicles for certain duties - otherwise are authorized to use their personal vehicle to travel to and from duty stations.
- May be required to complete a background investigation.
- CPR/First Aid training may be required.
