We Independence is a 501c3 nonprofit that offers warmth, guidance, and a support system to individuals on dependent visas in the U.S., addressing the challenges of isolation, lack of access to resources, and emotional overwhelm. We provide a welcoming space for resource-sharing, community engagement, and cultural exchange. We believe that with the right support, dependent visa holders can find their place and positively impact society.

A dependent visa holder refers to an individual who holds a visa status in the U.S. based on their relationship to a primary visa holder, such as a spouse or child of someone working or studying in the country. These individuals often face unique challenges, including limited work opportunities, restricted access to benefits, and social isolation. Our organization aims to support them in navigating these challenges.

We are looking to recruit a group of volunteers to assist our community in various events. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting the successful execution of various activities, helping foster a sense of connection and engagement within our community.
