Volunteer swimmers needed to swim besides special need athletes in Lake Acworth located in Acworth, GA. There are 4 different races
5 Kilometer which starts at 8:00am (Check in closes at 7:30am)
2.5 Kilometer which starts at 9:30am (Check in closes at 9:00am)
1 Kilometer which starts at 11:00am (Check in closes at 10:30am)

Description
Special Olympics is a year round program of training and competition for children (ages 8 & up) and adults with special needs. Participants receive opportunities to increase physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and develop friendships with other Special Olympics athletes and the community. Special Olympics offers a variety of athletic opportunities including bowling, gymnastics, ice skating, basketball, alpine skiing golf and tennis to name a few.
