Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and highly organized Future Leaders Mentorship Program (FLMP) Coordinator to lead and support our flagship school-based program which connects elementary school girls with professional women who visit the classroom as guest speakers to inspire them to explore the endless career possibilities available. Each session features hands-on activities to enhance learning, with guidance and support from high school or college student mentors.This role is critical in delivering meaningful experiences that empower girls and champion gender equality through career exploration, mentorship, and hands-on learning.

The FLMP Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating guest speakers, planning engaging activities, supporting mentors, and serving as the main point of contact between the school and the Director of Programming. This is a highly collaborative role ideal for someone with educational experience and a commitment to youth development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reach out to and schedule guest speakers for program sessions, ensuring a diverse range of careers and perspectives.

  • Collaborate with guest speakers to develop hands-on, age-appropriate activities tied to their careers.

  • Train and support mentors at the beginning of the school year and provide ongoing guidance as needed.

  • Prepare and gather all materials for each session, including snacks, activity supplies, and handouts.

  • Attend, lead, and supervise sessions (typically twice a month) at your designated school, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the school and the Director of Programming, sharing updates, successes, and any challenges in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in an educational setting and/or with elementary or high school students.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and moving parts.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and professional approach.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to motivate others towards common goals.

  • Deep commitment to the mission of empowering girls and advancing gender equity.

  • Ability to effectively work with a variety of stakeholders, including school staff, volunteers, students, and community partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading or coordinating youth programs.

  • Familiarity with community engagement or nonprofit work.

  • Comfort with handling logistics, such as managing supplies and scheduling.

  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
