Help support the Ronald McDonald House at the Central Hillside Farmer's Market in Duluth.

Tuesdays 2-5pm - June 10th to September 23rd

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aid staff with set-up and take down of booth supplies including a tent, table, and other items for the market
  • Engage with community members at the market to ask for donations for the Ronald McDonald House
  • Highlight the needs/wants of the house as well as available volunteer opportunities

Volunteers should provide their own chair. Market will occur rain or shine, so volunteers should also bring/wear weather-appropriate clothing.

Training

On the day of your first shift, you will meet some of the RMH staff members who will be providing you guidance. A criminal background check is required prior to starting this role.

We, in partnership with our community, provide a comfortable and caring home-away-from-home that supports keeping families together and reduces stress during a child’s serious illness.

Description

We provide a warm and welcoming community of support and respite for families with seriously-ill or injured children. Across our five locations, we welcome 76 families each night for overnight services, as well as hundreds of day-visitors. Services include:

  • Lodging
  • Meals
  • Kitchen access and fully-stocked pantries
  • Laundry facilities
  • An accredited K-12 school
  • Workout facilities
  • Supportive, family-focused programming

We take care of all these things so families can focus on the well-being of their child.
