ORGANIZATION: Hospice of New York
Please visit the new page to apply.
Patient/Family Care Volunteers provide companionship to the patient and respite for the caregiver as a part of the Hospice Team. Volunteer help by visiting, reading to patients, writing letters, running errands, preparing meals and providing light housekeeping. Prehaps the most important thing the volunteer offers is listening, sharing quiet moments, giving a gentle pat on the arm and just being there.
