Volunteering helps build relationships with neighbors and local organizations, strengthening the community's ability to respond to emergencies; by dedicating your time and skills to emergency services, you can make a significant contribution to your community and be part of a team that helps keep everyone safe.

  • Volunteers should be comfortable with technology, communicate clearly with the public, and remain calm and patient.
  • Bilingual volunteers (Spanish, Korean, Tagalog, Arabic speakers) are especially needed in this area.
Library administration will provide a general training, keep in mind that each library location is different, and this position will require a tour of the building and local instruction when you arrive for your shift. Training required: Total of 4-6 hours, various schedules and formats available, plus one annual meeting, trainings to be held in different county locations the third week of July. Please contact us for more information. Other Requirements: Volunteers must be 18 or older, and have ability to speak, read, and understand basic English (bilingual volunteers welcome!)
