Do you have experience with Public Policy? Are you a Political Science major looking to apply your knowledge in a meaningful way? Join our mission-driven team and gain real-world policy experience in the nonprofit health and human services sector.
We are looking for a professional candidate to volunteer alongside our Chief Executive Officer (CEO). As a Policy Volunteer, you will work closely with our Executive team to research, draft, and refine policies that guide our organizational practices and impact. This is a great opportunity to bridge academic learning with social impact work. FSA offers flexible schedules. This position may be hybrid partially remote and partially in person.
Responsibilities:
- Research best practices and current legislation affecting nonprofit operations and health/human services
- Assist in drafting and revising internal policies and advocacy briefs
- Analyze policy impacts and help prepare recommendations for the leadership team
- Collaborate with staff across departments to align policy with program needs
Ideal Candidate:
- Current or recent Political Science major (undergrad or grad student)
- Strong writing and research skills
- Interest in nonprofit management, public policy, or health & human services
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Committed to social justice and community impact
