The Cattle Care volunteer will support our efforts to care for corralled cattle in the backcountry while they await removal by ranchers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and transport feed to designated corral areas.
- Cut bale straps and distribute feed appropriately.
- Position the feed cart near the corral for easy access by the cattle.
- Check water trough levels: report if they are less than half full.
- Observe cattle for signs of injury or unusual behavior and report any concerns.
