The Skagit Valley Highland Games is happening July 12 th and 13 th at the Skagit County Fairgrounds in Mount Vernon. V olunteers who sign up for a four-hour shift receive two free weekend p asses to the Games ! Shifts include checking tickets and welcoming attendees at the gates, selling Highland Games merchandise, checking IDs in the beer and whisky gardens, directing traffic and parking, and setting up or tearing down the event. Volunteers of all ages and ability are welcome and invited to participate . Volunteers under 18 must have a guardian with them. It’s also a great opportunity for groups to work together, including families and corporate groups . Corporate groups are encouraged to wear branded clothing during their shift.

The mission of the Celtic Arts Foundation is: to sponsor, encourage and promote Celtic cultural events.
Description
Our most significant activity is the annual Skagit Valley Scottish Highland Games, held during the second weekend in July. We work hard to blend traditional Scottish and Celtic activities with a quality fun-filled, family-oriented festival. Activities include; bagpiping, Highland, Irish and Scottish County Dancing, Athletic Events, Celtic Harp, Fiddling, Children's events, arts, crafts and food vendors and much more. Over the years we have hosted a number of regional and US Championship events, always attempting to improve on what has been a very successful formula. The mission of our Highland Games volunteers has become to entertain and inspire. With a very large pool of dedicated volunteers, these Games could not happen without them!
