How You Will Make a Difference
The Crochet and Knit Club Facilitator will play a pivotal role in bringing community members together through learning an art form and engaging with each other in a safe and welcoming environment.
Volunteers are needed to:
- Teach any newcomers how to knit and/or crochet
- Maintain a welcoming and friendly environment for program participants

Commitment/Schedule
Willingness to volunteer at weekly for at least a 6-month duration. Program is held on Tuesdays from 11am-12:30pm.
Prospective volunteers should:
- Know how to crochet and/or knit. You don't have to be an expert, but you should know at least the basics and be able to teach others how to do it.
- Be comfortable in teaching others and engaging with new people
- Be dependable, punctual, and responsible
- Complete a fingerprint background check, at no cost to you. Only required if you are 18 years or older

Description
Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
