Experienced HR Specialist Needed for WinWinLabs!

WinWinLabs, is an education first non-profit organization committed to developing the next generation of talent in the American economy through our gamified product development competitions in which startup teams compete to bring a product to market. This originates from the belief that the best ideas with the best execution brings out the best in our world.

Startup teams typically consists of various professionals from different fields to organize together around a mission to solve a problem. The teams go through an intensive five-week product development sprint cycle researching, ideating, product designing and developing, iterating and then presenting their minimum viable product with pitch decks to judges from target industry, company recruiters and hiring managers.

The success of this program will provide the following:

As we are grow, we need your expertise to help us build a strong, supportive, and efficient organizational foundation. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your HR skills for a cause you believe in, without the daily grind of a corporate environment.

We are specifically looking for an HR Specialist who can provide invaluable assistance in the following 5 key areas:

  1. Volunteer Recruitment & Onboarding Strategy: Help us refine and optimize our volunteer recruitment processes to attract top talent. Develop engaging onboarding materials and a structured orientation program to ensure new volunteers feel welcomed, informed, and ready to contribute from day one.

  2. Policy Development & Documentation: Assist in reviewing, updating, and developing essential HR policies and procedures (e.g., volunteer code of conduct, communication guidelines, conflict resolution, data privacy). Your expertise will help us create clear, fair, and compliant frameworks.

  3. Performance & Recognition Programs: Collaborate with our leadership to design and implement effective performance feedback mechanisms and recognition programs for our volunteers and staff. Help us create a culture of appreciation and continuous improvement.

  4. Training & Development Support: Identify potential training needs for our volunteers and staff, and help source or even develop basic training modules (e.g., communication skills, teamwork, specialized software). Your insights will help enhance skill sets across the organization.

  5. HR Best Practices & Compliance Guidance: Provide guidance on general HR best practices relevant to non-profit organizations, including compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations concerning volunteers. Your knowledge will be crucial in ensuring we operate ethically and legally.
