Please help keep Ijams Nature Center beautiful! Join the Ijams staff on Saturday 07/19 from 1:00 to 4:00 as we complete litter pickup along a two-mile stretch of Island Home Ave. This cleanup is in cooperation with the Keep Knoxville Beautiful Adopt-A-Road Program.
Safety vests, trash bags, gloves, and grabbers will be provided. Volunteers should BRING WATER, BUG SPRAY, AND SUNSCREEN.
We will meet at the Mead's Quarry parking lot. Volunteers can scan a QR code for parking validation or will receive a daily parking pass.

The mission of Ijams Nature Center is to increase the knowledge of, understanding of and appreciation for the natural world by providing quality educational experiences throughout the East Tennessee region. The park shall remain a sanctuary for the enjoyment and interpretation of its natural features.
Description
Ijams Nature Center is a member-supported non-profit enviornmental education center and 160 acre sanctuary. The park was founded in 1965 on the original home site of H.P. and Alice Ijams who lived at the location for more than 50 years from 1910-1964. Their passion for nature and education children still lives on in the park today.
