EmpowHERto partners with black and Latina girls and young women from underserved communities between 14-21, empowering them with the necessary tools to thrive and effect positive systemic change.
EmpowHERto seeks a dynamic and experienced People and Culture Operations Manager to lead our HR team. The People Operations Manager will be pivotal in driving the organization's people
strategies and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources
management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for creating an inclusive and engaging
workplace culture
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, fostering a culture of
- collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with senior leadership to drive organizational effectiveness and talent
- management initiatives.
- Serve as a point of contact for escalated employee inquiries and concerns, ensuring
- timely and effective resolution.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Lead the recruitment and onboarding process, including job postings, candidate
- sourcing, interviewing, and selection.
- Develop and implement onboarding programs to ensure a positive experience for
- new hires.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify talent needs and support workforce
- planning efforts.
- Oversee HR administration activities, including maintaining HR records, managing
- HRIS systems and preparing HR related reports.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage HR budget and resources effectively.
- Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to design and deliver training
- programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
- Support career development initiatives and succession planning efforts
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in human resources management.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate
- teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into HR initiatives.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite
