This is an opportunity to help restore our marsh grasses here at the nature center. Marsh Plant rescue and propagation. No experience needed but you will get wet! Wear your waders if you have them or clothes you don't mind getting muddy! Closed toed shoes (not crocs) and a refillable water bottle is required. Come help us Monday, we meet in the front parking lot at 8:30am

Mission Statement
The mission of Armand Bayou Nature Center (ABNC) is twofold: To preserve the wetlands prairie, forest and marsh habitats with which we have been entrusted. To provide opportunities for people to experience the Armand Bayou habitats and the importance of preserving these vanishing habitats.
Description
Armand Bayou Nature Center is one of the largest urban wilderness preserve in the U.S. ABNC contains approximately 4000 acres of the natural wetlands forest, prairie and marsh habitats once abundant in the Houston/Galveston area. ABNC is home to over 370 species of birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. ABNC offers hiking trails, exhibits, field trips, Scout programs, birding, a historic farm and fun for all.
