Fast Friends is a racing-neutral non-profit whose mission is to find good, loving homes for retired racing Greyhounds from the US and sighthounds in need from around the world. We believe that every dog deserves a warm bed, good food, and loving home, no matter where in the world they are.

Volunteering at Fast Friends gives individuals the chance to make a real difference in the lives of rescued dogs while becoming part of a compassionate community. Volunteers play a hands-on role in the daily care and comfort of the dogs-walking them for exercise, sitting with them for extra socialization, and helping them adjust to life off the track. Beyond direct dog care, volunteers support the facility by gardening, doing laundry, and attending events and fundraisers. Every task, big or small, helps create a safe, loving environment where our dogs can thrive.

Mission Statement

Fast Friends Greyhound Adoption is dedicated to educating the public about Greyhounds and sighthounds from around the world as well as finding responsible, loving homes for them. Fast Friends is a state-licensed animal shelter and non-profit organization founded in 1992 in West Swanzey, NH. We are involved with canine education and training in our community and provide a resource center to support the local community and greyhound and sighthound organizations worldwide. As an essential part of our mission, we are committed to enriching the lives of those in our community, both human and animal.

Description

Fast Friends serves as a temporary home for 50 greyhounds, on average, while they wait to find forever homes. We provide emergency medical treatment and ongoing medical care for all of the greyhounds that come through our doors. As a non-profit, we rely heavily on volunteers to help with the care, exercising and socializing of the greyhounds to enhance their overall well being and prepare them for their new lives as companion pets.
