Pet Support Ambassador - Cooling Center Tabling

Overview:

Join us on the frontlines of compassion! Companion Pets in Crisis is seeking dedicated volunteers to assist with tabling events at cooling centers during weekdays. Volunteers will distribute pet food, supplies, and information to unsheltered individuals and families with pets seeking relief from the summer heat. Your presence and support help keep pets safe, healthy, and with the people who love them.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and co-manage an outreach table at designated cooling centers

• Hand out pet food, bowls, backpacks full of goodies and other donated supplies

• Share resources including spay/neuter vouchers, ESA letter information, and support services

• Offer a friendly, nonjudgmental presence to those in crisis

• Record basic distribution data (e.g., number of individuals served, items given out)

• Assist with clean-up and packing up

Ideal Volunteer Qualities:

• Compassionate and approachable

• Comfortable engaging with unsheltered or at-risk individuals

• Dependable and punctual

• Able to work independently and/or with a small team
