About Us:
CITCA is a nonprofit committed to reducing poverty and mental illness by providing educational, wellness, and economic opportunities for marginalized youth and families. We’re currently expanding our digital presence and need creative, reliable web development support!
Volunteer Role:
We are seeking a Website Development Volunteer to help us maintain, improve, and potentially redesign our website to ensure it effectively communicates our mission and improves engagement with youth, families, donors, and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update existing website pages
Assist with website redesign or restructuring
Integrate tools such as donation forms, volunteer sign-ups, and event calendars
Ensure mobile responsiveness and accessibility
Troubleshoot bugs and optimize performance
Collaborate with the communications and outreach teams for content updates
Ideal Candidate Has:
Experience with platforms like WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript (optional but preferred)
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and communicate project timelines
Passion for community wellness, youth empowerment, and digital equity

Mission Statement
Counselors in the Community Alliance- CITCA serves disadvantaged individuals throughout the United States from urban & rural communities with mental and behavioral health resources by increasing access to services, resources and support for children, adults and families impacted by poverty and poverty-related issues and bridge the gaps to strengthen community resilience through stewardship, economic opportunities, health and education equity.
Description
CITCA is a national 501c3 on a powerful mission to increase strengthen mental health awareness and community resilience. Our association includes a collaborative alliance among counselors, mental health professionals, and community members nationwide engaging in civic community activities that promote mental health awareness and resiliency. Through such allyship the organization strengthens anti-poverty initiatives that bridge the gaps on access to care and socioeconomic resources including programs, education and employment resources.
Since incorporating the nonprofit has been driving impact in social emotional learning, SEL and increasing access to counseling services for low income families. The organization also offer programs for youth leadership development, advocacy, community resources and programs that contribute to prosocial development and other services to close equity gaps
We are seeking volunteers to serve with us who share similar passions to increase mental health awareness and strengthen communities. Volunteers are the driving force our mission would be incomplete without and we welcome all with a passion too serve.
