Job Title: Volunteer Content Creator


Job Description: Volunteers will brainstorm ideas to help promote our National Park, highlight volunteer programs, promote any events, and to bring awareness to different concerns throughout the year. This position is partially remote with the exclusion of taking pictures around the park. All ads, posts, videos, or public statements must be approved with our interpretative department and refrain from all political, religious, and other social discussions.


Responsibilities: To ensure proper and well communication between you and the park and the park to its community. This position is responsible for suggesting content ideas, helping to edit media, and actively promote engagement.


Skills: Volunteer should have a good sense with technology and social media platforms. They should be able to edit videos, edit media content, use photoshop, use adobe, PowerPoint, and other media making platforms. Other skills necessary for the job are good communication skills between you and the interpretive outreach team, good spelling, and a positive attitude.


Work Conditions: This position is partially remote. You are expected to have your own laptop, phone, internet, and editing software. On days you are in the park, you may experience different weather conditions, sun exposure, uneven terrain, may come in contact with insects or wildlife, and may experience excessive heat or coldness depending on the season.


Important Mentions: This position must have all content approved before publishing. The volunteer is not authorized to talk to media press as a park representative unless authorized. You are not to engage or spread any type of propaganda. This position is solely for content creation and not rebuttals on the internet.


Uniforms: A uniform shirt and name tag will be provided to the volunteer for when they are at the park or are in a video representing the park. Pants must be clean and without holes, shorts may be worn and must come down to at least midthighs. Volunteer must wear hiking boots or tennis shoes, no open toe or heels. Lastly, the volunteer must have a clean and upkept appearance.


Supervisor: You will be supervised by Park Ranger Angela and the Interpretive Outreach team.
