Join Our Team as a Volunteer Video Producer for 2025 TAIWANfest!
Gain hands-on experience as a Volunteer Video Producer with the TAIWANfest Team!
Craft compelling stories through video while building up your portfolio with diverse arts and culture content. Learn to work in a professional setting and work with a dynamic team that explores connections within both the local and global community. Strengthen your video editing skills and be part of an ongoing cultural dialogue!
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture high-quality video footage of TAIWANfest events and activities.
- Edit video footage to create compelling final products, including cutting and splicing clips, adding transitions, effects, sound, and music.
- Collaborate with the Artistic Director to understand the vision and goals for each video project.
- Maintain and organize video equipment and files.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with video recording equipment and techniques
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for capturing and editing engaging visuals
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects simultaneously

ACSEA has a long history of curating and producing large events, including a very successful partnership with Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics Cultural Olympiad. Our signature events are spread throughout the year: the end of winter LunarFest, end summer TAIWANfest and IPACI, and a brand new event in partnership with Canadian Heritage and Canada 150 We Are Canadians, Too!
