On Lok Day Services
The 30th Street Senior Center is San Francisco's largest multipurpose senior center with eight programs serving more than 6,000 seniors per year. We offer multiple programs for active seniors citywide including exercise classes, delicious meals, and a variety of social activities to carry out our mission to help seniors remain healthy, independent, and in their communities for as long as possible.

We are in search of a Cantonese-bilingual volunteer to support an upcoming health education workshop. The workshop will be held in downtown San Francisco for low-income seniors.

Requirements:

  • Must be Cantonese-bilingual
  • Must be available Monday afternoons from June 23 to August 25

Key responsibilities of the volunteer:

  • Assist certified program facilitator with materials and tech
  • Field individual questions and concerns from the participants
  • Greet and assist guest speakers as needed

This is a great opportunity for a volunteer to observe a community health education program. You will have the chance to connect with the facilitator, On Lok staff, and multiple guest speakers we bring in from different organizations.
