Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and creative Volunteer Social Media and Marketing Coordinator to help increase visibility and engagement across our digital platforms. This role is essential to helping us tell our story, celebrate our members’ achievements, and reach donors, partners, and families who need our support. The ideal candidate understands the power of strategic storytelling and is excited to contribute their skills to a mission-driven organization making tangible change. Must be located in the United States, preferably in Georgia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage content calendars for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Develop engaging graphics, captions, and multimedia content that reflect our programs and values.
  • Increase our online presence through storytelling, highlighting participant success stories, upcoming events, fundraising campaigns, and community partnerships.
  • Monitor analytics and adjust strategies for engagement and growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align communications with strategic goals.
  • Support the development and dissemination of marketing materials (flyers, newsletters, impact reports, donor updates).
  • Assist in the launch of outreach campaigns that align with fundraising and program goals.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience managing nonprofit or mission-aligned social media accounts (or strong desire to learn how to).
  • Familiarity with Canva, Meta Business Suite, or similar content creation and scheduling tools.
  • Excellent written communication and visual storytelling skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Passion for community impact, social justice, and economic equity.
  • Knowledge of branding best practices and marketing trends a plus.
