Are you a good listener with a kind heart? Become a Friendly Visitor Volunteer and make real difference in the life of a homebound individual. Many of our community members are unable to leave their homes due to age, illness or disablity. As a Friendly Vistor you'll offer companionship, emotional support, and connection to those who may be experenceing loneliness or isolation. What you'll do:Visit with a homebound individual on a regular basis (weekly or bi-weekly) Provide warm conversation, a listening ear, and genuine companiionship. Enjoy shared activites like playing cards, lokking at photo albums, watching a movie, or taking a short walk (if possible)offer comfort just by being a consistent and caring presence. Why it Matters: For many of the people we serve, you may be their only visitor that week . Your time, smile, and simple kindness can bring hope, reduce loneliss, and greatly improve emotional well-being. No experence necessary- Just a compassionate heart. We'll provide the training and on going support. Visits are flexible and scheduled based on your availability and the needs of the individual you're matched with.Whether you're retired, a student, orsimplysomeone who enjoys meaniful connection, your time can make a difference.
