NMDP works to educate people about the need for bone marrow donors and help them join the blood stem cell registry. Adding more members who increase the ethnic diversity of the registry increases the variety of tissue types available, helping more patients find the match they need.

For patients with blood cancers like Leukemia and Lymphoma, and other life-threatening diseases, a cure exists. We are the world's leading nonprofit organization focused on saving lives through marrow and umbilical cord blood transplantation
When you volunteer with NMDP, you are helping blood cancer and blood disease patients get their cure - a blood stem cell transplant from a matching donor. As a volunteer, you can truly impact the lives of patients and their families. Last year, volunteers gave nearly 125,000 hours of their time. This commitment is vital to the life-saving work at NMDP. By working together, we create a chain reaction of good and positivity in our communities and cultures. Every volunteer opportunity at NMDP helps make a difference.
