Bereavement support volunteer-Memory Bears, Support groups and phone outreach. Do you have a heart for helping other through grief? We are seeking compassionate Bereavement volunteers Support volunteers to join our team in offering comfort, connection and meaningfulsupport to individuals and famlies navigating the loss of a loved one. As a volunteer mauy take part in one or more of the following areas. Memory Bear Progam- Help create oe assist in organizing handcrafted Memonry bears made from clothing or fabric donated by grieving families- a beautful way to preserve memories and offer comfort. Support Group Facilitation or assistance- provide warm and welcolming support during grief and bereavement groups. Volunteer may help with set up the space , greet attendenees, assist facilitation, co- lead discussuins depending on interest and experience. Bereavement Follow up- Care- Make thoughtful check-in calls to families after the loss of a loved ove to offer emotional support, provide resources, and remind them they are not alone.
