Bring Comfort and Joy to Hospice Patients - Volunteer with Mending Hearts Hospice

At Mending Hearts Hospice, we believe in the power of presence, connection, and compassion. We're currently seeking dedicated volunteers to share their unique talents and hearts through Pet Therapy, Music Therapy, and Bereavement Gift-Making to bring comfort, peace, and lasting memories to those receiving end-of-life care.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

• Pet Therapy Volunteers - If you have a certified therapy animal, we invite you to visit patients in their homes and offer calming companionship.

• Music Therapy Volunteers - Whether you sing, play guitar, or simply have a passion for music, your gift can lift spirits and soothe the soul with short musical visits.

• Bereavement Gift Volunteers - Help create small, thoughtful keepsakes (such as memory boxes, cards, or crafts) for families grieving the loss of a loved one. These gifts offer comfort and honor the memory of our patients.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older

• Background check

• Basic hospice volunteer training (provided)

• TB test (required for in-person roles)
