Become a Compassionate Presence - Volunteer With Baptist Hospice
ORGANIZATION: Baptist Hospice
Please visit the new page to apply.

Sometimes the greatest gift is simply showing up.
At Baptist Hospice, we are looking for caring volunteers who are willing to give the most powerful thing they have: their time and presence.
You don't need medical skills. You don't need fancy words. Just a listening ear, a gentle touch, or a quiet visit can bring comfort to someone in their final season of life.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Visit patients in their homes, assisted living, or nursing facilities.
- Read scripture or poetry aloud.
- Sit quietly, hold a hand, or just "be there"
- Provide short respite breaks for caregivers.
- Help us offer the ministry of presence - even when the moment is still.
This role is deeply meaningful - but may not always be busy. Some days may be quiet. Some visits may be brief. But each one matters.
"There is a sacredness in silence. Sometimes, just sitting near someone who feels forgotten, reminds them they are still seen."
Flexible scheduling ~ Training Provided ~ Must be 18+
