We're seeking a dedicated, skilled Board Treasurer to provide financial oversight and strategic guidance as we continue our mission to fight poverty. You will

  • serve on the Board of Directors and actively participate in monthly in-person meetings in Thousand Oaks.
  • review monthly financial reports including bank balances, donations & expenses
  • work with the Executive Director to develop & present the annual budget
  • ensure compliance with federal and state financial regulations
  • bring good judgement, teamwork and a strong commitment to our mission
  • have a professional background, preferrably a CPA

Description

We are an organization founded by women seeking to make a greater contribution to the world. We focus on raising funds and awareness to help women pull themselves out of poverty, knowing that when women are helped, they help their families and their communities. In our first 15 years of operation, we have provided over 18,000 micro loans to help women start small businesses and work their way out of poverty in Uganda, East Africa.
