Mission Statement
My Neighbor Keeper Alliance Inc.(MyNKA) is dedicated to empowering underserved youth and families in the Washington Metropolitan Area through education, prevention, and advocacy. We provide culturally responsive programs that build resilience, promote mental well-being, and prevent substance misuse among adolescents. Our mission is to uplift communities by equipping youth with tools for healthy decision-making, leadership, and lifelong success. We believe every young person deserves a safe, supportive space to grow, heal, and thrive. In collaboration with Hagar’s Restoration Home Outreach (HRH), we are proud to implement the EYAME (Empowering Youth through Awareness, Mentorship, and Education) program--a transformative yearlong initiative designed to educate, engage, and elevate local teens.
Description
The EYAME (Empowering Youth through Awareness, Mentorship, and Education) program is an engaging, yearlong youth enrichment experience that empowers teens in Prince George’s County through mental health awareness, substance misuse prevention, life skills, and mentorship. Programming includes interactive workshops, peer-led discussions, field trips, service-learning projects, and leadership development.
We are currently seeking dedicated adult volunteers who care deeply about youth and want to be part of a supportive, vibrant team that helps guide adolescents toward purpose-driven lives.
