Time Commitment: 4-6 hours per week

The Cyber Institute is a nonprofit focused on advancing cybersecurity and emerging technology policy through education, research, and public engagement. Our educational programs equip learners with the knowledge and tools to understand and shape the future of digital policy and innovation.

Role Overview:
The Course Content Developer is responsible for creating high-quality written and visual content for online courses, webinars, and training programs. This role supports the instructional team by translating complex ideas into accessible, engaging educational materials that reflect our mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop lesson plans, scripts, slide decks, infographics, and learner handouts

  • Translate policy and technical content into clear, concise learning materials

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to align content with learning goals

  • Ensure content is inclusive, accurate, and engaging for diverse audiences

  • Help adapt or repurpose materials for different formats (e.g., self-paced modules, webinars)

  • Revise content based on feedback from learners and the education team

Qualifications:

  • Strong writing and visual communication skills

  • Experience developing instructional or educational materials (preferred)

  • Ability to simplify complex topics while maintaining accuracy

  • Proficiency with tools like Canva, Google Slides, or Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Interest in cybersecurity, public policy, or technology (a plus)

  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
