The Cyber Institute is a nonprofit advancing cybersecurity and emerging technology policy through research, education, and community engagement. We provide accessible, high-quality educational programs to inform and empower individuals and institutions around the world.

Role Overview:
The Director of Education & Training leads the design, development, and delivery of all educational offerings, including online courses, webinars, workshops, and training materials. This role oversees the instructional design process, manages a team of volunteer educators, and ensures that all content is accurate, engaging, and accessible. The Director plays a key role in expanding our educational reach and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the organization’s education strategy

  • Oversee the creation of online courses, webinars, and other training content

  • Ensure content quality, consistency, and alignment with the Cyber Institute’s mission

  • Supervise and support a team of instructional designers, course developers, and facilitators

  • Coordinate with subject matter experts and external contributors

  • Manage learning platforms (e.g., Thinkific, Teachable) and related tools

  • Evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements based on feedback and data

Qualifications:

  • Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or educational program management

  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills

  • Familiarity with learning management systems and digital education tools

  • Excellent written communication and content review skills

  • Passion for accessible, mission-driven education in cybersecurity or technology

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting
