Department: Operations & Volunteer Management
Reports To: President & CEO
Location: Remote
Time Commitment: 10-15 hours per week

The Cyber Institute is a nonprofit organization advancing cybersecurity and emerging technology policy through research, education, and strategic outreach. We support innovation, equity, and ethical policy development through the work of our dedicated team and volunteers.

Role Overview:
The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative support to the President & CEO and executive leadership team. This role ensures smooth scheduling, efficient communication, and timely follow-up on key initiatives. The Executive Assistant is a trusted partner who helps the leadership team stay focused, organized, and responsive as the organization grows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the CEO’s calendar, including scheduling meetings, calls, and events

  • Organize internal and external communications, including email drafting and follow-ups

  • Assist with preparation of agendas, meeting notes, and presentation materials

  • Track deadlines, priorities, and key deliverables for leadership initiatives

  • Support coordination of leadership team meetings and organization-wide updates

  • Handle special projects and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail)

  • Prior experience in administrative or executive support roles (preferred)

  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
