Location: Remote
Time Commitment: 10-15 hours per week

Role Overview:
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for managing the full volunteer lifecycle-from onboarding to engagement and retention. This role ensures that volunteers feel welcomed, supported, and connected to the mission. The Volunteer Coordinator plays a key role in building a positive and organized experience for all team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage volunteer onboarding process, including sending welcome packets and scheduling welcome calls

  • Maintain volunteer records, agreements, and timesheets

  • Serve as the main point of contact for volunteer questions and concerns

  • Plan and implement strategies for engagement, recognition, and retention

  • Coordinate regular check-ins, updates, and volunteer meetings

  • Work with department leads to match volunteers to roles based on skills and interests

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Experience in volunteer coordination, HR, or nonprofit management (preferred)

  • Friendly, approachable, and detail-oriented

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records

  • Interest in community building and mission-driven work

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
