Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per week

The Cyber Institute is a nonprofit focused on advancing cybersecurity and emerging technology policy through research, education, and public engagement. We foster a vibrant and inclusive community of supporters who care about shaping the future of digital policy and innovation.

Role Overview:
The Member Development Lead is responsible for growing, engaging, and retaining our community of members and supporters. This role focuses on building meaningful connections, increasing membership participation, and developing strategies that enhance the overall supporter experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain members/supporters

  • Plan and coordinate member-focused outreach campaigns, events, or engagement initiatives

  • Create and manage member communications, including welcome messages and updates

  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote membership offerings

  • Monitor and analyze member engagement metrics and suggest improvements

  • Act as a liaison between members and the organization to gather feedback and build loyalty

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Experience with community engagement, member programs, or customer service

  • Creative and strategic thinker with an interest in growing communities

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team

  • Interest in nonprofit work, technology, or policy (a plus!)
