The Cyber Institute is a nonprofit dedicated to advancing cybersecurity and emerging technology policy through research, education, and public engagement. We strive to make complex tech issues accessible and actionable for diverse audiences worldwide.

Role Overview:
We’re seeking a creative and mission-driven volunteer to join our Communications & Marketing team as a Social Media Content Creator. In this role, you'll help amplify our message by designing compelling visual content and short-form posts for platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok using Canva.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design eye-catching graphics and short-form videos using Canva

• Repurpose existing blog posts, research, and publications into visual content

• Collaborate with the team on content planning and campaign themes

• Ensure brand consistency across all social media materials

• Stay informed about current trends in cybersecurity, tech, and digital marketing

Qualifications:

• Experience using Canva or similar design tools

• Strong eye for visual storytelling and digital design

• Familiarity with social media platforms and content formats

• Interest in cybersecurity, tech policy, or digital education (a plus!)

• Ability to work independently and meet weekly content deadlines
