Asian American Stories (aastories.org), an initiative operating under Silicon Valley Community Media (svcommunitymedia.com), is committed to enhancing the visibility and voice of the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. With this mission in mind, we launched our inaugural video contest in May 2024 with the theme "All of Us Belong Here," and a second contest in May 2025 with the theme "My Gift to America."

Both campaigns were a huge success, and the award ceremonies brought together hundreds of Asian Americans to celebrate our individual stories. Thus, the Asian American Stories video contest has established itself as an annual Bay Area event. We are dedicated to celebrating AAPI diversity and experiences through storytelling.

We are currently looking for student interns to work with us on promoting this event. Through this 6-week unpaid internship program, student interns will gain valuable real-world experience to help their local community and raise Asian American voices.

Tasks may include but are not limited to the following:

- Promotion and recruitment of contestants for the Asian American Stories 1-Minute Video Contest

- Participation in Asian American Stories 1-Minute Video Contest

- Content creation for social media
