Shelving Volunteers Needed

ORGANIZATION: Nevada County Library - Truckee Library

Join us a volunteer at the Truckee Library! We are looking for reliable individuals to assist with shelving library materials, primarily in the Children’s section, where books are frequently handled by our youngest readers.

What You'll Do:

  • Re-shelve returned books in proper order

  • Tidy and straighten shelves

  • Assist with maintaining an inviting, organized library space

Time Commitment:

  • Just 1-2 hours per week

  • Flexible weekday scheduling-help out at a time that works for you!

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail and ability to alphabetize

  • Comfort bending, reaching, and being on your feet for short periods

  • Must be at least 14 years old (or specify your minimum age if different)

This is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys being around books and supporting their local community. Training is provided!
