The Black Tie Society of Washington, D.C. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underserved communities through mentorship, education, and cultural engagement. From youth enrichment programs to high-impact community events, we believe in creating meaningful change-one event, one person, and one purpose at a time.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Fundraising Drive Coordinator with hands-on experience planning, organizing, and executing successful community fundraising efforts such as book bag giveaways, car wash fundraisers, school supply drives, and similar initiatives. This dynamic individual will play a vital role in helping us meet fundraising goals and expand our reach through creative, community-driven campaigns.

Responsibilities:

* Plan, coordinate, and execute seasonal fundraising and supply drives (e.g., backpack drives, car washes, toy drives, etc.)

* Recruit, schedule, and supervise event volunteers

* Identify and secure partnerships with local businesses, vendors, and community stakeholders

* Manage logistics including site permits, materials, donations, and budget tracking

* Track and report drive progress and outcomes to the Executive Team

* Promote drives via social media and community outreach (in collaboration with our Marketing Team)

* Ensure proper documentation of donors and contributions for thank-you letters and recordkeeping

* Maintain a high level of organization and professionalism at all public-facing events

**Qualifications:**

* Proven experience in coordinating fundraising or community supply drives (required)

* Strong organizational and leadership skills

* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

* Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly

* Comfortable working with diverse teams and community members

* Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.) and/or project management tools is a plus

* Must be at least 21 years of age

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Existing relationships with local schools, churches, or businesses

* Previous nonprofit or community engagement experience

* Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/French) is a plus
