Resilience, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving the mental health of students, as well as reducing mass shootings, suicide, and depression. Resilience, Inc also works to combat declining test scores, low student engagement, and a slew of other social issues. Our organization focuses on offering Social Emotional Learning tools to enable K-12 schools to teach emotional intelligence through five core topics; self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship manageEWGRIYPment, goal setting, and effective decision-making. Resilience, Inc. also provides tools for acquiring and maintaining inspiration, hope, and overall well-being. Our mission is to teach SEL at every school in the country.   • Collaborate with the design team to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs for mobile app interfaces.
  • Design intuitive and visually engaging user interfaces that enhance the overall user experience.
  • Conduct user research to gather insights and inform design decisions.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback from the team and usability testing.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure the feasibility and implementation of designs.
  • Apply principles of mobile app UI/UX design, including usability, accessibility, and interaction design.
  • Stay up-to-date with current design trends, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Assist with creating design assets, style guides, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design concepts align with project goals and objectives.
  • Actively participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback to fellow designers.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing your time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain and organize design files and assets for easy accessibility.
Requirements:
  • Passion for mobile app UI/UX design and eagerness to learn and grow in the field.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma.
  • Basic understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with mobile app design guidelines for iOS and Android platforms.
  • Strong visual design skills, including layout, typography, and color theory.
  • Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that align with project goals.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to effectively articulate design decisions.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to receive and incorporate feedback to improve design iterations.
  • A portfolio showcasing your mobile app design projects and understanding of UI/UX principles is required.

Mission: We will not stop until SEL is taught, trained, and tested at every school in the country. ___ Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) provides individuals with mental and emotional resilience, self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, strong relationship skills, goal setting skills, effective decision-making skills, motivation, inspiration, determination, empathy, gratitude, and many other impactful life skills. Our mission may take a decade or longer, and many believe it is extremely difficult, near impossible to change the field of education in this manner. Challenge accepted.
