This role supervises all intake volunteers, while overseeing animal flow and processes during intakes. Intake Leads help problem solve, answer questions, and direct the entire intake team. This role helps ensure all animals get what they need and move through the intake process quickly and efficiently. This role is in a rotating schedule and needed once every 6 weeks. Intake Leads need to have availability for communication during the week prior to the intake they are leading, primarily on Friday afternoon or evening, and all day Saturday (roughly 8am-6pm). This is a hybrid role with both remote and in-person responsibilities.

Description
Safe Hands Rescue was founded in 2006 and has continued to grow and save more dogs and cats every year. We focus on saving animals from SE Kentucky, an impoverished area with great need. With underfunded shelters and lack of access to affordable spay and neuter programs. We partner with several shelters in the Chicago area and Twin Cities to save as many animals as possible. We often take animals that other groups pass up due to health issues. Our commitment is to help every adoptable animal in the shelter make it out alive.
