Volunteer Position: Donor Relations Coordinator (Remote or on-site)
Organization: Center of Hope, Fenton, MI
Type: Volunteer | Remote or on-site| Part-Time (5-10 hrs/week)

Position Summary:
The Donor Relations Coordinator plays a key role in strengthening and sustaining the financial foundation of the Center of Hope. This volunteer position is responsible for helping build strong relationships with individual donors, churches, and community partners through thoughtful communication, donor appreciation, and consistent follow-up. If you're passionate about making a real impact and have strong communication and organizational skills, this remote role is a great way to serve behind the scenes-and make a big difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and organize donor records and contact history

  • Draft thank-you letters, emails, and personalized donor acknowledgments

  • Help develop donor engagement strategies (calls, updates, birthday cards, etc.)

  • Assist with fundraising campaigns and Giving Day follow-ups

  • Track donor giving trends and help identify lapsed donors

  • Support donor communications via Mailchimp, Givebutter, or similar platforms

  • Coordinate with staff and volunteers for donor appreciation events (in-person or virtual)

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable using spreadsheets, email marketing platforms, and basic donor software

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Friendly, professional, and discreet with confidential donor information

  • Passion for Center of Hope’s mission and values

  • Prior nonprofit, fundraising, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
