Sisters for Health designs educational programs that empower girls of color to take control of their health. Our goal is to change the statistics that show that black women have higher degrees of high blood pressure, obesity and undiagnosed diabetes than other demographics.

We are seeking a volunteer vegetable gardening instructor to lead classes and help maintain our community plot. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in vegetable gardening and enjoy working with children.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead elementary/middle school girls in discussions on gardening and nutrition
  • ⁠Guide students in planting, growing and harvesting vegetables
  • Contribute to garden maintenance
