The Santa Catalina Ranger District of the Coronado National Forest is seeking Volunteer Visitor Services Information Assistants for their Palisades Visitor Center. Palisades Visitor Center is located at mile post 19.9 on Catalina Highway.
The volunteer’s primary duties are to assist with visitor center operations including providing information to visitors and answering questions, recommending trails and other recreational opportunities, maintaining the cleanliness of the visitor center, restocking information handouts and fee envelopes, and cataloging lost and found items.
Volunteers must have warm, welcoming customer service and be able to work in a team environment. A volunteer uniform will be provided to the volunteer and must be worn while stationed behind the front desk. Volunteers will also receive on the job training. While working at the visitor center volunteers will have assigned hours and be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
We are looking for help from Wednesday to Sunday and for a volunteer who can dedicate a minimum of one day each week.
