Position Summary:
The special Events and Fundraising Volunteer supports the agency's mission by assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising events and campaigns. Volunteers will work directly with staff to help ensure successful events and contribute to fundraising efforts that sustain and grow agency programs. A brief orientation on the agency's current goals and initiatives will be provided to align volunteers with the purpose behind the fundraising.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning and logistics for special events, including set up, registration, guest coordination, and breakdown.
- Support fundraising efforts through outreach, donor engagement, and event promotion.
- Collaborate with agency staff to ensure smooth execution of events ad adherence to event timelines.
- Represent the agency professionally to guests, sponsors, and community member.
- Participate in post-event debriefs and provide feedback for future improvements.
Requirements:
- Interest in nonprofit work, event planning, or fundraising.
- Completion of a short orientation session to review agency goals, priorities, and fundraising objectives.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
- Reliability and commitment to assigned roles and tasks.
Time Commitment:
Varies by event; typicall includes occassional evenings or weekends. Volunteers may choose to assist on a per-event basis or with on going campaign events.
