Children Center Site Receptionist

ORGANIZATION: Community Action Marin



Purpose:

A Children Center Site Receptionist will join a Community Action Marin children center site to strengthen onsite and in-person services to the families and children we serve. The receptionist is expected to interact with community members and clients and handle certain clerical functions as necessary.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Welcome and greet visitors in a polite and friendly manner.

Maintain the reception and other site common areas according to local, state, federal, and Agency social distancing guidelines and periodically sanitize high touch surfaces.

Assist parents and children with questions and information regarding the classroom site and the Agency overall.

Answer phone calls and direct callers as needed to respond to their inquiries.

Support the Site Manager and teaching staff with clerical assistance as required.

Receive training in directing clients to other Agency services, as required.

Treat clients in a polite, friendly, and inclusive manner.

Demonstrate a positive attitude and welcome a collaborative work environment.

Communicate with Agency personnel appropriately.

Adhere to Agency privacy and confidentiality standards, health and safety protocols, and code of ethics.

Communicate with individuals in a respectful manner and responsive approach to differing beliefs and practices, sexual orientations, disability statuses, gender identities, ages, cultural preferences, linguistic needs, and other state and federal protected statuses.

Time Commitment:

Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5pm

Choose any days and hours desired

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Customer Service experience desired.

Ability to follow directions.

Adapt well to a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and work effectively within a team.

Willingness to provide a pleasant and welcoming environment.

Ability to engage with the public in an empathetic, culturally responsible manner.

Basic technical knowledge Microsoft Office.

Organized, creative, and detail oriented.

Verbal communication skills.

Demonstrate a positive attitude and welcome a collaborative work environment.

Bi-lingual in Spanish and English highly desirable. Spanish or English only speaking considered.

Fingerprint background clearance and immunizations required.

Old Gallinas Children's Center & Production Farm

251 N. San Pedro Rd., San Rafael, CA

Provides services to toddlers ages 2-3, Pre-school children ages 3-5, and After School Care to TK-3rd grades
