The Volunteer Opportunity will provide skills in interacting with the public, introduction to nursery and natural resources and varying program areas on the forest. Work entails visitor information services, field work and nursery work. Students will be either greeting public, answering calls and providing information regarding the Nebraska National Forests and Grasslands, field work in several natural resource areas or planting, seed cleaning, weeding, transplanting, moving containers from the greenhouse to the shade house, mowing, thinning seedlings, general maintenance, mixing fertilizer, cone/seed collection, and much more.
