Love My Neighbor Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to e stablishing a viable and respectable means for homeless individuals to receive the necessities of life as they regain their way back into society.

Love My Neighbor Foundation, is not just another foundation giving away food and clothing, but an organization established to allow homeless individuals to keep their pride and dignity as they receive food, clothing, shoes, toiletries, resources and spiritual enlightenment.

Our volunteers are comprised of diverse individuals in the community that realize the plight of the homeless and are mindful of such when giving countless hours to ensure the comfort of the community they are serving.

The Vice President of Operations (VP of Ops) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for ensuring that Love My Neighbor Foundation operates efficiently, sustainably, and in alignment with its mission and strategic goals. The VP of Ops oversees day-to-day operational functions, including finance, HR, IT, compliance, facilities, and administrative systems, and collaborates closely with program, development, and executive leadership teams. This is a part time volunteer role and our main project is that we serve the homeless every Thursday from 11a - 3p. The person for this role needs to be available for this weekly event. No exceptions, unfortunately.

This individual will bring strong leadership, a systems-oriented mindset, and a commitment to equity and transparency in nonprofit operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Organizational Planning

  • Assist the CEO and leadership team to shape and implement the strategic plan.

  • Translate strategic goals into operational plans with clear milestones and accountability.

Operational Management

  • Lead and continuously improve all core operational functions: finance, HR, IT, legal/compliance, and facilities.

  • Ensure efficient, mission-aligned systems that support program delivery and growth.

Financial Oversight

  • Collaborate with the CFO or finance team to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.

  • Ensure financial controls, compliance, and sustainable use of resources.

Human Resources

  • Oversee HR strategy, including recruitment, performance management, volunteer development, and organizational culture.

  • Foster a healthy, inclusive, and equitable workplace.

Risk, Compliance, and Infrastructure

  • Ensure the organization meets all local, state, and federal legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain policies and procedures that reflect operational best practices and ethical standards.

Technology & Data Systems

  • Oversee technology strategy to support organizational effectiveness and data-driven decision-making.

  • Ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility across departments.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Manage and mentor a high-performing operations team.

  • Promote a culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in nonprofit operations, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Proven success in overseeing cross-functional teams and complex projects.

  • Strong financial literacy and experience with nonprofit budgeting and compliance.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Commitment to the mission, values, and equity principles of Love My Neighbor Foundation.

We are looking for someone that is passionated, dedicated, that follows instructions and sees everything through. We would like someone who wants to help the mission long term. This position is not for community service or school credit.
